Will My Sister Husband Pay me for a job well done?

Recently My Sis­ter Hus­band Asked me to help me pro­mote his bus­niess in his work­ing activ­ity area : music.so the guy is an artist.He need a web­site, Some knowl­edge in pro­mot­ing in face­book, tweet, maybe ebay;Yes a web activisty /pro blog­ger daily life.

After some think­ing i decided to help me no charge.After all, He is was accepted into the “Famaly”.

So, After work­ing a few nights, some “urgent” daily calls: i need this, i need that.… A new web­site was up in the air.and a nice one to i must say.

Then i decided to make an office sur­vivor TEST:although i decided no pay is needed, i wanted to check the guy crediblty.See how much is hon­esty goes to. so i made up the call and told him i need some pay­cash for the job.

“OHH…OKkkkkkkkk.……” and you could hear his ankes start­ing to shake.Where did this come from?I hang up with a lit­tel devel­ish smile and went on.

Few weeks went and no phone was made from his behalf.i defently wasnt going to call him look­ing like a sharp inter­est lawner .But the guy ani’t calling.

For truth, That was my assump­ton also,but i wanted to check it.i know, I know, this is not an emprichal test, i need more sub­jucts to check and all these sta­tis­tics blah blah.

So, why am i nag­ging about it?How much i asked for? 200$.which i wasnt think­gin to get.
After all this is a test.!And every­body would have told me he will not pro­vide the cache.so why test it?

i wanted to see somet­ing else.

You see, i had addi­tional assump­tion: his behav­iour through the fam­ily was chang­ing also.i.e. :before the reauesyt we talked twice a week, and after it none.we saw his face once in two weeks in famaily meet­ings, now he is gone.…so, he is feel­ing resent from us and me although he is cre­at­ing it to himself.feeling guilty for some­thing he knees he is doing wrong but blam­ing oth­ers becuase they made him decidea side in moral and Ethics prob­lem, which the answer is straight :just pay and get it over with.

But peo­ple are peo­ple: want somet­ing for free and not will­ing to pay for it.and if you gave them your word and changed your mind noth­ing will make them pay you.

At one point i decided the test was over.not that i blame him for some­thing, and maybe its not my place to put peo­ple in front of Ethics issues, but i am also human and wanted to do it for fun.

call him and played like i for­got it and boom:his sec­ond sen­tence is :“lis­ten man, i need to give you somet­ing becuse you hep­led me and.…” sud­denly he real­ize anger is over from the request side so he is will­ing to give some­thing back

The moral of the story: if its a famaily dont ever ask for money, or dont do any job.is black or white,all gray area will bring you sor­row, anger, resent­ness and lack of sleep
