Office Survivor Desicion making– Dont get stuck in the middle-lesson 1

We make decision’s every moment in the day. Deci­sion mak­ing is the biggest issue for mankind. Unlike the ani­mal world, were there are lim­ited options, the human can have unlim­ited ones. Then we reduce the options and limit them to 3–4,and make the Deci­sion. This action goes in every part of our life:marriage,office,driving,investments,chess,poker.…

The focus today is the com­mon prob­lem when you need to decide to which group you ally your­self in the office-very use­ful for the office sur­vivor. there are sev­eral groups in the office and you need to take a stand with one of them. each asked for your sup­port, and you had 3 days of grace. the ques­tion is:which side i take?

in sur­vivor 9(VANUATU),the sec­ond chap­ter we saw this problem:

the Yasur tribe (that had only women) went to Tribal Coun­cil. ear­lier that day, two groups were formed in the tribe. one lonely sur­vivor, Dolly Neely found  her­self as the swing vote. each group went to her and asked her vote. but poor Dolly-she never been in this sit­u­a­tion. what to do dear Dolly?so, Dolly take the deci­sion to do noth­ing. BIG MISTAKE!

AS An office sur­vivor, you need to make quick decision,you just had  two requests for your support-think fast.

you don’t have the lux­ury tine of going home, think­ing of it for 10 days,ask your mother,father sister,wife. maybe the dog?.NO

you need to decide-but on what basis you do it?

1. Who ini­tially hired you-if you had interview’s with sev­eral employ­ees, and they actu­ally gave you the good word– prob­a­bly they thought you would give them your sup­port don’t back stab yet.
2. Does the deci­sion reduce cost-money here is a major issue. you need to sup­port ideas that reduce the costs. any costs.
3. Who you go to lunch with-think of how embar­rass­ing it will be to eat with the group you eat every day but didn’t sup­ported their ideal.
4. sniff where the man­age­ment sup­port more. unless their sup­port goes against every­thing you believe in. although when it comes to office,you should be that ded­i­cated remem­ber they don’t give you a lot.

So, Dolly found her­self out of the game after 6 days. don’t do her mis­take. don’t be a swing vote, cause it will come back at you. when it comes to office pol­i­tics, bet­ter to have the power some­where else, instead of a swing vote where every one knows you are that(unless you are a “|swing vote” secretly while no group knows it),better to select one a keep with it, until bet­ter oppor­tu­nity comes.

Maybe Dolly learned her lesson.
